Drake Seemingly Disses LeBron James, Drops Steph Curry Reference in New Album 'Iceman'
Drake released a handful of new albums at midnight on Friday, and some songs featured NBA references.
Most notably, the rapper appeared to take a shot at Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.
"I shouldn't even be shocked to see you in that arena, because you always made your career off of switching teams up," Drake rapped on "Make Them Remember."
That line is likely a reference to James being among the stars that attended Kendrick Lamar's concert in Los Angeles in the height of the Drake vs. Lamar beef in the summer of 2024.
Drake also included a line that said, "Please stop asking what's going on with 23 and me," adding that "he's not, it's in my DNA," another reference to James, and perhaps Lamar, who has a song called "DNA."
Drake released three new albums at midnight on Friday, with a few songs featuring Future. The new albums are called ICEMAN, MAID OF HONOUR, and HABITI.
But all of his songs weren't solely focused on his former friend, James. He also gave a nod to Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry.
"Back when they was asking about where Davidson was at… now everybody got a blue 30 on they back," Drake rapped on "2 Hard 4 The Radio," referencing Curry's college and his uniform number.
