Anthony Edwards Reacts to Wemby's Impact in Return After Ejection as Spurs Win Game 5 vs. Wolves
There's only so much opponents can do when Victor Wembanyama gets rolling, and the Minnesota Timberwolves learned that the hard way Tuesday.
"Some of the stuff Wemby was doing, you don't really have an answer for," Anthony Edwards told reporters after the San Antonio Spurs' 126-97 victory in Game 5 of their second-round series.
"Just kind of hope he misses."

San Antonio now leads the series 3-2 and is one win away from the Western Conference Finals in large part because the star big man bounced back in a major way from his Game 4 ejection for elbowing Naz Reid in the chin.
Wembanyama finished with 27 points, 17 rebounds, five assists and three blocks as a matchup nightmare who scored on the blocks, hit two shots from beyond the arc and controlled the glass while still protecting the rim like he so often does.
It was clear Wembanyama was anxious to put his ejection behind him, as he poured in 18 points in the first quarter and had a double-double before halftime. It was a dominant performance, and not even four-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert could slow him down.
It wasn't a one-man show, though, as six Spurs scored in double figures.
Keldon Johnson was one of them with 21 points off the bench, while Stephon Castle took over for stretches in the third quarter on his way to 17 points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals behind 8-of-11 shooting from the field.
But everything started with Wembanyama on both ends of the floor.
When he is dialed in like he was at the start of the game Tuesday, there is nothing anyone in the NBA can realistically do to stop him. The Timberwolves didn't have any answers, and now they have to figure out a way to prevent him from taking over when the series shifts back to Minnesota for Game 6.
