San Antonio started the game on a high note, taking a 24-9 lead midway through the first quarter.

Still, Minnesota kept the contest from getting out of hand early and climbed back to only trail 34-30 at the end of the period.

The Spurs didn't wait long to extend their lead once again, opening the second quarter on a 14-5 run.

The Timberwolves struggled to cut the deficit to single digits before halftime, as San Antonio entered the break with a 59-47 advantage.

Minnesota appeared to be gaining momentum to start the second half, tying the game at 61 just over four minutes into the third quarter.

The Spurs outscored the Timberwolves 30-12 throughout the rest of the quarter to take an 18-point lead into the fourth, though.

Minnesota was never able to recover, as San Antonio led by as many as 30 points over the final 12 minutes of game time while it cruised to the win.

Victor Wembanyama continued to excel on both ends of the floor throughout the victory and finished with 27 points, 17 rebounds, five assists and three blocks. He shot 9-of-16 from the field and 2-of-5 from three-point territory.

Keldon Johnson also stepped up for the Spurs, scoring 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting in 22 minutes off the bench.

San Antonio ended the game with 68 points in the paint compared to just 36 for Minnesota.
