Indiana Pacers' Top Needs After 2026 NBA Draft Lottery Results
The NBA Draft lottery is in the books, and the Indiana Pacers are now set at pick No. XX.
As they continue to evaluate the prospects who may be available there, we're here to break down the biggest needs for Indiana to address in the draft.
Wing Depth
The Pacers have a pair of wings in Aaron Nesmith and Andrew Nembhard (more of a guard, but he often plays the 2) who play the kind of physical, aggressive defense that's driven postseason winning in the last two seasons. They both may be a little undersized for their roles.
One more wing, preferably one who's more of a 3-4 than a 2-3, would provide a little balance to a roster with stars in the backcourt (Tyrese Haliburton) and frontcourt (Pascal Siakam, and to a lesser extent, Ivica Zubac).
Shooting
It's hard to judge the Pacers on anything that happened during their Haliburton-less gap year, but they were in the bottom half of the league in both threes per game and three-point percentage last season.
With a playmaker as dangerous as Haliburton, chasing another reliable catch-and-shoot threat for him to spray out to makes sense.
