John Wall to Represent Wizards at 2026 NBA Draft Lottery, Odds for All Teams to Land No. 1 Pick
The Washington Wizards are hoping to have luck on their side during the NBA draft lottery on Sunday, and they tabbed a familiar face to represent them.
Per Josh Robbins of The Athletic, former NBA point guard John Wall, who was drafted No. 1 overall by the Wizards when they last won the lottery in 2010, will be Washington's representative on stage in Chicago as the 2026 draft order is revealed.
Per Tankathon, the odds for each team in the draft lottery to land the No. 1 pick this year are as follows:

Wall spent nine of his 11 NBA seasons with the Wizards, becoming one of the franchise's all-time greats. He earned five All-Star selections and helped lead the team to the playoffs four times before being traded to the Houston Rockets in 2020. Washington honored him with a Celebration Night in January following his official retirement from professional basketball.
"I think it's a full-circle moment going back to 2010 for me, when they ended up getting the No. 1 pick," Wall told Robbins. "So it's a full-circle moment there, rekindling and building a relationship with the organization all over again after being traded and things like that. Ted Leonsis and his family and the Wizards organization gave me an opportunity to live out my dreams of playing in the NBA and making me a franchise guy."
B/R's Jonathan Wasserman predicted in his latest mock draft that the Wizards would land the No. 5 pick and select Illinois guard Keaton Wagler.
Wall will certainly be hoping to bring better fortune than that to Washington in Sunday's draft lottery, as the team is looking to land the No. 1 pick for the first time in over a decade.
