The incident started after the two got tangled while Knicks forward OG Anunoby made a free throw to put New York up 72-22 late in the first half of a remarkable blowout.

After the scuffle, both players were pulled away from each other. Officials went to the monitor for review, and Daniels and Robinson got technicals before they were tossed.

As Fred Katz of The Athletic noted, this isn't the first time Robinson and Daniels have gotten into it this series.

Robinson had six points, three rebounds and two blocks in nine minutes off the bench before exiting. He briefly left the game with a leg injury earlier in the evening but returned.

It was a tough night for Daniels, the NBA's Most Improved Player and a member if of the All-Defensive First Team last season. He finished with three points, two turnovers and a steal in 15 minutes.
