5-Star OL Kennedy Brown Makes CFB Commitment Between Texas A&M, LSU, Florida, Tennessee
Kennedy Brown, a 5-star offensive tackle from Humble, Texas, is staying in state.
Brown chose to commit to Texas A&M over Florida, LSU and Tennessee on Sunday, according to ESPN's Eli Lederman. He's the fourth 5-star recruit the Aggies have landed in the Class of 2027, per the 247Sports' Composite Rankings, joining safeties Kamarui Dorsey and JayQuan Snell and cornerback Raylaun Henry.
"What plays like a really big part is the relationships," Brown previously told Rivals' Sam Spiegelman while speaking about Texas A&M. "I've always talked about relationships, and obviously, you shouldn't go there for a coach, but I practically know everybody there. Relationships play a big part. Obviously, I've seen everything else and obviously, the academics... I like the way they are there."
Texas A&M currently ranks second behind only Oklahoma in the 2027 recruiting rankings, per 247Sports, after ranking 10th in 2026.
And Brown's addition is a major one.
Gabe Brooks of 247Sports called him a "traitsy offensive tackle prospect who wears existing mass well while possessing additional bulking capacity," and one who "owns the physical traits and functional athleticism to become a future high-major starter with NFL draft upside."
In Mike Elko's second season in charge, Texas A&M reached the College Football Playoff, and another strong recruiting class is laying the foundation for more to follow. Folks have to be very pleased with Sunday's development down in College Station.
