Haven currently plays at Dunham High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he was the 2025 Gatorade Player of the Year. The 6'5" player is the No. 22 overall prospect in the class of 2027 and the No. 1 quarterback, per 247Sports' composite rankings.

Along with Alabama and Georgia, Haven held offers from Florida, Auburn, Baylor and plenty of other schools. He said the Crimson Tide checked all the boxes.

"My family and I think so highly of the program," Haven told Rivals' Sam Spiegelman. "They continue to reassure my family and me that I'm a priority for them. It goes a long way for us, hitting all of those boxes."

Haven also praised the success head coach Kalen DeBoer has had developing quarterbacks, citing Ty Simpson, who was just drafted 13th overall by the Los Angeles Rams, as an example.

"Coach DeBoer is a great guy and an amazing coach," Haven told Spiegelman. "He produces at the QB level and he's done a great job of that. With Ty (Simpson) this year, they did a helluva job this season. Coach DeBoer is the leading factor of that, and that definitely is reassuring to have a head coach in that position and also to be able to lead the quarterbacks in that way."

Haven is the first 5-star commitment for Alabama out of the class of 2027, but there are likely more coming. The Crimson Tide also boasts the second-ranked recruiting class for 2026.
