The Germans beat Real Madrid 4-3 on the night, with Luis Diaz and Michael Olise's late goals securing a 6-4 aggregate win. Arsenal played out a 0-0 draw with visitors Sporting, ambling to a 1-0 victory overall.

FC Bayern München v Real Madrid CF - UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Quarter-Final Second Leg

Bayern Munich 4-3 Real Madrid (Bayern win 6-4 on aggregate)

Some fans hadn't even reached their seats by the time Madrid equalized on aggregate. Manuel Neuer's awful pass fell straight to Arda Guler, who brilliantly curled into an open goal from way out.

It wouldn't take long for Real Madrid stopper Andriy Lunin to repay the favor. The stand-in for Thibaut Courtois totally misjudged Joshua Kimmich's corner, handing Aleksandar Pavlovic a free header to make it 1-1 on the night.

Guler's incredible half continued when he whacked a brilliant free-kick into Neuer's top corner just before the half an hour mark.

Madrid's defensive weaknesses came back to bite them instantly once more. Just nine minutes after Guler's magic, Harry Kane inevitably slotted home for 2-2 on the night.

The pace of the game remained frantic heading into halftime. Vinicius Jr. still had time to hit the bar before assisting Mbappe for Madrid's third, bringing the overall score to 4-4.

Madrid nearly completed its comeback 10 minutes into the second half, as Mbappe forced Neuer into a strong save after Trent Alexander-Arnold's superb cross into the box.

Mbappe nearly prove his class again with a brilliant piece of skill to set up Vini Jr. The Brazilian fluffed a golden chance before Bayern ran up the other end to create a chance of its own, a feature of play throughout the game.

It turned out to be a major moment, as with five minutes to go, Madrid substitute Eduardo Camavinga received a second yellow card with extra time looming. Bayern didn't let it go that far.

Luis Diaz picked up the ball on the edge of the box and gave Lunin absolutely zero chance after cutting inside, his deflected shot flying beyond the outstretching goalkeeper.

Michael Olise, who ran Madrid ragged over both legs, then had time to fire in a brilliant goal for the last kick of the game.

Bayern held firm to set up a terrific semifinal with defending champion PSG in May.

Arsenal 0-0 Sporting (Arsenal win 1-0 on aggregate)

Heavy favorites Arsenal were nearly punished in the first half when a gutsy Sporting side crashed an opportunity off the post.

Maxi Araujo's cross fell to Geny Catamo, who fired a volley off the woodwork, summing up a slow start from Mikel Arteta's side.

Arsenal looked brighter after the break, but it wasn't long before Arteta decided to bring Kai Havertz, last week's match-winner, onto the pitch. Leandro Trossard, another sub, hit the post with a free header as the clock ticked on and Sporting's threat subsided.

It simply wasn't to be for the Portuguese side. Chances dried up and the Gunners looked more likely to score the longer the match progressed.

Arsenal move on to face Atletico Madrid, who conquered Barcelona on Tuesday.

Champions League Semifinals Predictions

2 of 2
Liverpool FC v Paris Saint-Germain FC - UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Quarter-Final Second Leg

Paris Saint-Germain vs. Bayern Munich

Two brilliantly attacking sides will meet in what should be 180 minutes of unmissable football. This is so tough to call and the winner will likely be favorites heading into the final. Bayern seems to possesses a new resiliance this season and with Harry Kane down the middle, the x-factor to keep on rolling.

Prediction: Bayern Munich

Arsenal vs. Atletico Madrid

This is a much less exciting semifinal for neutrals, with both sides resorting to physical, defensive football this season. Arsenal must improve if its to beat Diego Simeone's outfit, which is built to fight and battle to the final whistle. Atletico has more attacking quality than Sporting and are more likely to punish the Gunners if the Premier League side doesn't improve. Arsenal should, should, have enough.

Prediction: Arsenal
