Rashad Streets Commits to Oregon Over Alabama, Ohio State, More, What to Know About 4-Star EDGE
Rashad Streets, a 4-star edge prospect from Raleigh, North Carolina, announced Friday during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show that he is committing to Oregon.
Streets chose Oregon over a list of finalists that also included Ohio State, Florida State, Alabama, South Carolina and NC State.
Streets is considered the No. 61 player in the Class of 2027, the No. 7 edge and the No. 4 player from the state of North Carolina, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
Andrew Ivins from 247 called him "one of the top speed rushers in the class given the year-over-year pressure rate" and added that he "should be viewed as a potential impact defender for a College Football Playoff contender that will have a chance to earn snaps early with his skill set."
He's now Oregon's fifth 4-star addition in the Class of 2027, joining fellow edge Cameron Pritchett, defensive lineman Zane Rowe, running back CaDarius McMiller, offensive tackle Avery Michael and linebacker Sam Ngata.
While both Matayo Uiagalelei and Teitum Tuioti are returning for the 2026 season, locking down the starting spots off the edge, Oregon lost enough edge players in the transfer portal to create opportunities for other players to earn depth roles. Streets should be in that mix.
"I think what really excites me is the energy around the program from the coaches, players, and even fan base," Streets previously told On3 regarding Oregon. "You can just feel it. I just think the level of play and product they put on the field week in and out speaks volumes about the program. I also think the development there especially in the edge and defensive end room is real."
