Texas Tech Unveils New Red Helmets in Photos Ahead of 2026 CFB Season

Texas Tech released images of the team's new red helmets that'll be worn during the 2026 college football season on Thursday.

The helmets are red with a white stripe on top, featuring a black Texas Tech logo on each side to go along with a black facemask.

The Red Raiders have typically used black and white helmets throughout their history, but have included red alternate options in the past. They recently wore them in several games from 2021-23.

Texas Tech is coming off a strong 2025 season under head coach Joey McGuire, finishing with a 12-2 record. The Red Raiders also won the Big 12 title and made a College Football Playoff appearance.
