Jason Pierre-Paul Calls for Giants Reunion in NFL Free Agency in Social Media Post

Paul KasabianMar 31, 2026

Former New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul would love to return to the team, per comments he made on social media Tuesday.

Pierre-Paul has played 15 NFL seasons (2010-2023, 2025). He began his career with the Giants, who selected the ex-South Florida star with the No. 15 overall pick in the 2010 NFL draft. Pierre-Paul most recently signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' practice squad last December and got elevated to the active roster for three games.

Pierre-Paul is a three-time Pro Bowler who earned First Team All-Pro honors in 2011, when he amassed 16.5 sacks and helped lead the Giants to a Super Bowl victory. He played eight seasons in New York (2010-2017). Since then, JPP has played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baltimore Ravens, New Orleans Saints and Miami Dolphins.

Pierre-Paul has spent most of his post-Giants days with the Bucs, winning a Super Bowl with them to cap the 2020 season. He also played with the 2022 Ravens, who were led by current Giants head coach John Harbaugh.

For his career, Pierre-Paul has amassed 94.5 sacks, 167 quarterback hits and 631 tackles. He's also forced 21 fumbles and intercepted five passes, including two for touchdowns.

Pierre-Paul hasn't seen a ton of time in recent years. He didn't play the 2024 season and only accumulated 38 total snaps in the three games he played with the Bucs last year.

Pierre-Paul's recent post dropped as news broke of another former mid-2010s Giants star, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., seemingly having interest in connecting with his former team.

ESPN's Peter Schrager and Jordan Raanan reported the latest there. Ultimately, nothing appears imminent, but the door isn't slammed shut either.

The Giants are looking to move past a tough 4-13 season that led to the team hiring Harbaugh to lead the way in hopes of getting New York out of an ugly rut that's seen the team post losing seasons in 11 of the last 13 years.
