LeBron James Hypes Bronny's Big Game for G League Lakers, 'Going NUTS Right Now!!!'
Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James was understandably thrilled to see his eldest son, Lakers guard Bronny James, dominate for the NBA team's G League affiliate on Saturday.
James finished with 26 points on 9-of-12 shooting (6-of-8 from three-point line), seven rebounds and five assists in the South Bay Lakers' 140-132 home win over the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
James, a 2024 second-round draft pick out of USC, has played in the NBA and G League this season. He's played 34 games overall with Los Angeles, including two matchups this week. He and his father combined for the first-ever father-son assist in NBA history on Friday against the Brooklyn Nets.
The 21-year-old has seen limited time overall in the NBA but has starred in the G League. James has averaged 15.6 points on 56.4 percent shooting in 14 regular season games. South Bay has gone 14-0 in those games en route to a 26-10 record, good enough to clinch the Western Conference's No. 1 seed after wrapping up the regular season on Saturday.
