Lakers' Bronny James Reveals LeBron Broke Backboard on House Hoop After Losing 1 vs. 1 to Son

There aren't many people who can say they have gotten one up on LeBron James on a basketball court, but his oldest son is one of them.

After the Los Angeles Lakers' win over the Brooklyn Nets on Friday, Bronny James revealed that LeBron recently broke the backboard on a rim at their home in Miami because he lost to his son in a game of one-on-one.

While it's unclear how LeBron broke the backboard, this is not out of the ordinary for him in moments of intense frustration.

LeBron played most of the 2018 NBA Finals for the Cleveland Cavaliers with a broken hand suffered after punching a whiteboard in the locker room following Game 1 against the Golden State Warriors in the wake of JR Smith's infamous blunder late in regulation.

At least this time there was no indication LeBron suffered a significant injury to any part of his body.

Despite being passed by his son, at least in that one moment, LeBron is going to be okay. He's still capable of averaging 20.9 points, 6.9 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game this season in 53 NBA games at the age of 41.

Bronny's confidence could be reaching new heights after defeating his father in one-on-one. He received high marks for his play in Wednesday's win over the Indiana Pacers.

The Lakers (48-26) continue to roll with 11 wins in their last 12 games. They maintain a two-game lead in the loss column over the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves in the race for the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.
