Everything John Calipari Said After His Worst Loss Ever in NCAA Tournament as Arizona Beats Arkansas
John Calipari's second season as Arkansas' head coach ended with the worst NCAA tournament loss of his career.
The No. 4-seeded Razorbacks lost to No. 1 Arizona 109-88 in the Sweet 16 on Thursday. After the blowout loss, Calipari recognized how good the Wildcats are while adding that he's "proud" of his squad despite how the season ended.
"Arizona is really good, and if they shoot the ball that way and do the things they did today, wow," he said. "I told my team after that I'm proud of them, what they did this year. I don't want them to look at one game and take away from what they've all accomplished."

The Wildcats, led by Brayden Burries' 23 points, shot an extremely efficient 64 percent from the field and 63 percent from deep, having their way with Arkansas' defense all game.
That kind of offensive performance from Arizona combined with a subpar outing from the Razorbacks led to a lopsided outcome.
"They were on all cylinders, and we weren't quite what we've been," Calipari said. "That's why you get a 20-point bulge. Every one of their guys, they've got a bunch of guys that can play, and they've got a couple other guys that do exactly what they need to do to help their team win. But they're good."
