LeBron James Praised by Robert Parish After Breaking His Record for Most Games Played in NBA History
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James added another record to his name when he passed Hall of Famer Robert Parrish for the most games played in NBA history.
James appeared in his 1,612th regular season game on Saturday night as the Lakers defeated the Orlando Magic 105-104 for their ninth straight win. Parish took to social media to congratulate the 41-year-old for surpassing his record:
James had 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals to help the Lakers keep their win streak alive.
Parish's record had stood for nearly three decades. James has played two more seasons than Parish, who was in the NBA for 21 years.
Despite his age, James has continued to maintain his high level of production. He's motivated to add a fifth career NBA championship before he walks away from the game.
At 46-25, the Lakers are surging at the right time. They will try to make it 10 wins in a row when they meet the Detroit Pistons (51-19) on Monday night.
