New Giannis Trade Rumors on Warriors' NBA Deadline Offer, Bucks' Potential Targets in Deal for Star
As the Milwaukee Bucks prepare for a crucial offseason in which a separation with Giannis Antetokounmpo seems more likely than ever, we now have some idea of what the club will be looking for if they do give up the two-time NBA MVP.
Per ESPN's Ramona Shelburne, the Bucks' asking price for Antetokounmpo prior to the trade deadline was "enormous" with an offer from the Golden State Warriors seemingly not getting very far.
One team executive told Shelburne the Bucks were seeking "all our draft picks and good young player."

Shelburne noted Golden State proposed a deal with four unprotected first-round picks, but "never seemed to gain much momentum" with the Bucks.
The types of players Milwaukee pursued were considered "younger building blocks," with VJ Edgecombe and Evan Mobley cited by Shelburne.
Even though nothing came of the Bucks' exploration of the market prior to the trade deadline, their relationship with Antetokounmpo could be getting to a point where their hand gets forced.
ESPN's Shams Charania reported on Wednesday that the Bucks want to shut Antetokounmpo down for the remainder of the season with their chances at a play-in spot looking increasingly unlikely, but he has "refused" the requests and wants to play again.
B/R's Eric Pincus noted earlier this month that several executives throughout the NBA believe an Antetokounmpo trade has "never been more likely" than it is in the coming offseason.
The Bucks are not close to being any sort of title contender. They lost by 32 points on Thursday night to the Utah Jazz, who were fined $500,000 by the NBA last month for conduct detrimental to the league stemming from not using their two best players in the fourth quarter of a game.
Milwaukee is 2-10 in its last 12 games and has fallen 7.5 games behind the Charlotte Hornets for the No. 10 seed in the Eastern Conference.
Whether or not this actually pushes the Bucks to trade Antetokounmpo is another story, but everything that has happened this season strongly suggests now would be a good time to reset while they can get a premium package for the 10-time All-Star.
