Luka Doncic went nuclear in the Los Angeles Lakers' 134-126 victory over the Miami Heat on the road Thursday, dropping 60 points.

Shooting 60 percent from the field, including 53 percent from beyond the arc, while adding seven rebounds and five steals, Doncic powered the Lakers to their eighth straight win.

Head coach J.J. Redick raved over Doncic's performance Thursday:

Los Angeles remained in third place at 45-25, creating further separation from the fourth-place Minnesota Timberwolves and sitting seven games behind San Antonio for second.

Doncic also etched his name into the franchise record books Thursday, breaking the Lakers' single-season three-point record by surpassing D'Angelo Russell's previous mark of 226 set during the 2023-24 season.

Meanwhile, LeBron James added another chapter to his historic career in the win over his former team, appearing in his 1,611th game to tie Hall of Famer Robert Parish for the most in NBA history.

The 41-year-old reached the milestone in his 23rd season with no signs of slowing down, finishing with a triple-double of 19 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists against Miami.

After building a lead as large as 13 points late in the third quarter, the Lakers saw the game tighten down the stretch in Miami, unable to put the Heat away.

Doncic and James took over in the closing minutes, combining to score every Lakers basket over the final 4:53 until the 37.8-second mark, including a clutch Doncic three-pointer to put the game away and seal the win.

While fans celebrated the Lakers' eighth straight victory and Doncic's monstrous performance, Parish said he was honored that James was the one to match his record.

"If anyone is deserving of breaking the iron man record, I would say LeBron James is," Parish said, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "Because he takes such good care of himself. ... His approach to fitness and what he puts into his body reflects, or mirrors, how I felt about my fitness and what I ate, how I took care of myself. And so, it's a testament to not only my longevity, but LeBron's longevity."

The Lakers will get a break after their back-to-back, continuing their road trip in Orlando on Saturday.
