John Calipari, Arkansas Beat Hawaii, Fans Weigh In on March Madness Win and Path to Final Four
Arkansas wasn't messing around on Thursday.
The 4-seeded Razorbacks rolled Hawai'i, 97-78, led by future lottery pick Darius Acuff Jr. (24 points, seven assists). It was a balanced effort, with four starters scoring at least 15 points.
Arkansas basically turned the game into a glorified slam-dunk contest:

The Razorbacks didn't shoot particularly well from deep (4-of-21 from three, 19 percent) but it didn't matter much. They blocked five shots, nabbed eight steals, dominated on the boards (41-31 rebounding edge) and shared the rock (26-15 assist margin).
They were bigger, faster and stronger than Hawai'i. This was a complete mismatch, and fans were impressed by Acuff and Arkansas in general:
This shouldn't come as a surprise. Arkansas just won the SEC tournament and has high-profile wins over schools like Louisville, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Missouri and Texas, among others. The Razorbacks have now won 11 of their last 13 games and seem to be peaking at the right moment.
A tough matchup against Cinderella story High Point awaits, and potentially Arizona after that, so Arkansas has a tough road ahead. But the Razorbacks looked up for it on Thursday.
