Kyrie Irving dropped 60 points during his Brooklyn Nets' tenure on March 15, 2022. But in the wake of Bam Adebayo's 83 points last week, perhaps he should have set his sights higher.

Irving joked as much on Thursday:

Perhaps Irving would have benefitted more trips to the free-throw line. Adebayo attempted 43 free throws during his incredible performance, making 36 of them, while fighting through double- and triple-teams as the game progressed.

That isn't a knock on Adebayo's achievement—he played the cards he was dealt during the game—but 36 points from the free-throw line is about the most efficient way to reach a milestone like 83 points as it gets.
