Tracking How Many Perfect Brackets Remain in 2026 March Madness NCAA Men's Tournament
Nobody in the history of the NCAA men's basketball tournament has filled out a verifiably perfect bracket, and it didn't take long for dreams of perfection to vanish for many this year.
With Tennessee's second-round win over Virginia, no more perfect brackets are remaining:

Those who lost their perfect brackets shouldn't fret too much.
After all, Daniel Wilco of NCAA.com noted the chances of filling out a perfect bracket if one simply flips a coin is 1 in 9,223,372,036,854,775,808. For those who use their knowledge of basketball and the teams while filling out the bracket, the chances improve slightly to 1 in 120.2 billion.
So, you know, it's not going to happen for anyone this year either.
In fact, it is incredibly rare to see anyone even escape the first round without losing their hopes of perfection, so seeing so many losses in the early going shouldn't be that surprising.
According to Mike Benzie of NCAA.com, "the longest (verifiable) streak of correct picks in an NCAA tournament bracket to start the beloved March Madness tournament is 49, a mark that was established in 2019."
Unfortunately for many, they fell 49 games short of that record-setting 49-game streak.
And many more will continue to see their perfect brackets disappear as the madness unfolds and the upsets continue to happen.
So keep it locked right here throughout the tournament to see the updated number of perfect brackets remaining until it inevitably reaches zero before the Final Four even arrives.
