Lane Kiffin Reportedly Adds Tee Martin to LSU Coaching Staff After Ravens Exit
One month after announcing his departure from the Baltimore Ravens, Tee Martin is reuniting with Lane Kiffin on the LSU coaching staff.
Per NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Martin is being hired as an offensive analyst at LSU for the 2026 season.
Martin spent the past five seasons working on the Ravens coaching staff with John Harbaugh. He began as a wide receivers coach in 2021 before being promoted to quarterbacks coach prior to the start of the 2023 season.
Following Harbaugh's firing by the Ravens, Martin confirmed on Feb. 4 that he would not be back with Baltimore as part of new head coach Jesse Minter's staff.
Martin's playing career included being Peyton Manning's backup for two seasons at the University of Tennessee. He took over as the starter in 1998, leading the Vols to a 13-0 record and a national title.
Since his playing career ended in 2006, Martin moved into coaching as the passing game coordinator at Morehouse College. He worked for two years at the high-school level before returning to college in 2009 as the quarterbacks coach at New Mexico.
When Kiffin was head coach at USC, he brought Martin on in 2012 as wide receivers coach. He remained with the Trojans through the 2018 season under head coaches Steve Sarkisian (2014-15) and Clay Helton (2015-18).
During Martin's first two years as quarterbacks coach with the Ravens, Lamar Jackson won the NFL MVP award in 2023 and was named to the All-Pro first team in 2024.
In addition to Martin, Kiffin's staff at LSU includes Charlie Weis Jr. (offensive coordinator) and Blake Baker (defensive coordinator).
LSU will begin spring practice on March 24. The Tigers will open the 2026 season against Clemson on Sept. 5 in Baton Rouge.
