Austin Reaves, Lakers Benefitted from Wrong Call in OT Win vs. Nuggets, Per NBA's L2M Report
The Los Angeles Lakers enjoyed favorable officiating in the final seconds of regulation in their win over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.
Per ESPN's Dave McMenamin, the Last Two Minutes Report determined that Lakers guard Austin Reaves should not have been given free throws with 9.2 seconds in the fourth quarter. The report ruled that Spencer Jones "cleanly" dislodged the ball from Reaves on the play.

The Nuggets led 116-113 when Reaves went to the line, and he made both shots to cut the deficit to just one point. Denver's Cameron Johnson then hit a pair of free throws to extend the lead back to three with just over six seconds left.
Reaves once again went to the free-throw line, hitting the first and intentionally missing the second. He managed to get his own rebound and hit a floater to tie things up and send the game into overtime.
The two sides went back and forth in overtime. Nikola Jokić tied things up with 15.1 seconds left, but Luka Dončić hit the game-winner on the other end.
Dončić led the way for Los Angeles with 30 points, 13 assists and 11 boards, and Reaves added 32 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Jokić was also his typical self with 24 points, 16 rebounds, 14 assists and five steals, but it wasn't quite enough to secure the win.
The win added to what has been a strong stretch for the Lakers. They've won five in a row and eight of their last nine, jumping to third place in the West at 42-25.
Some help from the officials kept Los Angeles' hot streak alive, and the Lakers will try to keep that momentum heading into the upcoming week.
