Dejounte Murray Posts Video of Stare Down vs. Raptors Amid Trending Photos, 'Found My MF Joy Again'
Dejounte Murray has had a difficult few years dealing with injuries and trades, but the New Orleans Pelicans star remembered why he loves the game on Wednesday.
During the Pelicans' matchup against the Toronto Raptors, Murray, who returned from a torn Achilles just a few weeks ago, sent Jamal Shead to the floor before draining a three-pointer en route to a 122-11 win. He followed the shot up with a staredown that went viral.
Afterwards, Murray said he has regained his "joy."
Murray finished the game with 27 points, six assists and five boards, marking his best game yet since coming back from the injury, which kept him out of action for more than a year.
The Pelicans have struggled all year and are currently sitting in 12th place in the West, but they showed what they're capable of on Wednesday and appeared to be a team that was starting to click.
Murray's co-star, Zion Williamson, certainly seemed to be enjoying himself in the win.
It might be too late for New Orleans to make a playoff run this year, but a fully-healthy squad could be in the mix next season.
