Ime Udoka Shades Bam Adebayo's Historic 83-Point Game, Wizards, 'Tells The Story Right There'
Many around the NBA had a lot to say about Miami Heat star center Bam Adebayo's historic 83-point performance in Tuesday's 150-129 win over the Washington Wizards.
Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka was asked about his thoughts on Adebayo recording the second-highest point total in a single game in NBA history, and he called out the big man's astronomical free-throw numbers in addition to the Wizards' inability to stop him.
"First thing you think is, 'How?' Not because of him, but because of the way he plays. I saw he only made six threes but 40 free throws or something like that, tells the story right there," Udoka told reporters. "And, the Washington Wizards."

Adebayo shot 20-of-43 from the field, 7-of-22 from beyond the arc and 36-of-43 from the free throw line. His 83 points passed the legendary Kobe Bryant's historic 81-point performance and now places him second all-time for most points in a game behind only Wilt Chamberlain's legendary 100-point game.
Still, Udoka isn't the only person criticizing Adebayo and the Heat for their tactics on Tuesday night against the Wizards, who have the third-worst record in the NBA at 16-48.
Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick called Adebayo's performance "incredible," but he admitted that he felt the final three minutes of the game were "a different type of basketball."
Whatever the case may be, Adebayo officially etched his name in the history books. His epic game helped the Heat extend their win streak to six straight games and improve to 37-29.
"For me, it was just remaining calm, remaining locked in and understanding that I can go for something special," Adebayo said after the game, per ESPN. "I didn't think it was going to be 83. But to have this moment is surreal, because like I said, man, to be able to do it at home, in front of my mom, in front of my people, in front of the home fans, this is a mark in history that will forever be remembered."
Adebayo and the Heat will look to stay hot when they face the Milwaukee Bucks (27-37) on Thursday night.
