Lakers' Luka Doncic Fined for Making 'Money Gesture' Toward NBA Ref vs. Knicks
Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Dončić has been fined $50,000 for an "inappropriate and unprofessional" gesture made toward a game official during his team's 110-97 home win over the New York Knicks on Sunday.
With his team up 74-63, Dončić tried to draw a charge in the paint on Knicks rookie Mohamed Diawara. No foul was called, and Diawara dished off to Josh Hart for an easy two. After the no-call, Dončić flashed a money gesture with both hands in the official's direction.

This isn't the first time the league has fined Dončić for making this particular gesture, as Ayomide Adeduyite of Athlon Sports noted.
Dončić is also well-known for frequent complaining toward game officials, and he's racked up 15 technical fouls this year. If he gets one more, he will be suspended for one game.
Of course, Dončić is also one of the NBA's best and most talented players, and he's having a phenomenal year in his first full season with the Lakers, averaging 32.5 points, 8.4 assists and 7.8 rebounds.
The no-call in the game that led to Dončić's gesture ended up being irrelevant, too, thanks in part to his play as he torched the Knicks for 35 points and eight assists in the 13-point win.
L.A. has also won five of its last six games to move to 39-25 overall and fifth in the Western Conference. The Lakers will continue their homestand Tuesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
