LeBron James Honored by Lakers for Breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's NBA Record with Highlight Video
After he broke yet another NBA record, the Los Angeles Lakers honored LeBron James on Sunday.
Ahead of the team's matchup against the New York Knicks, the Lakers played a highlight video for James to celebrate him breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record for the most field goals made.
During the Lakers' matchup against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday, James hit his 15,838th field goal, surpassing Abdul-Jabbar, who was the league's previous all-time leader.
The record came just over three years after James passed Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA's all-time leading scorer.
The latest accomplishment just added to a lengthy list of NBA records that James has claimed, many of which won't be broken for a very long time. Still, the future Hall of Famer is looking to add to his resume.
Though 41 years old and in his 23rd season, James has remained productive, putting up 21.4 points, 7.0 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game. The Lakers are currently sixth place in the West at 38-25.
