Tatum played 31 minutes against Minnesota and finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two steals.
The six-time All-Star suffered Achilles injury in Game 4 of Boston's second-round playoff defeat to the New York Knicks in May 2025, leaving his initial outlook for the 2025-26 season uncertain. The 28-year-old wrapped up an impressive 2024-25 campaign prior to the injury, averaging 26.8 points, 8.7 rebounds and a career-high 6.0 assists per game on 45.2/34.3/81.4 shooting splits.
