Draymond Green Talks Trending Video of Steph Curry Reacting to Warriors Star Yelling on Sideline

Joseph ZuckerMar 4, 2026

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green didn't think much of teammate Stephen Curry's reaction to his impassioned speech on the bench during a 129-101 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

A fan captured the moment from the stands. In the clip, Green is animatedly talking to the team. Curry looks on without much of an expression but seems to be nodding along:

Green addressed the story in the newest episode of his podcast.

"Steph's reaction has gone quite viral to me talking to our guys on the bench, and I see a lot of people's reactions like, 'Oh man, Steph's tired of Draymond,'" he said (via Eden Collier of NBC Sports Bay Area). "Quite honestly, what I saw in the video and what I've taken away from the video — and be that I talk to Steph every day — was that he was in agreeance of what I said."

The four-time All-Star contended that fans often project their own feelings about him onto situations like this and make them bigger than they are.

Green's reputation precedes him in this regard.

His passion on the court was integral in the Warriors winning four NBA titles. It has also created problems for him, whether it's drama with teammates or the multiple suspensions from the league office.

Fair or not, that past history is going to influence how fans perceive what otherwise might be innocuous circumstances.

As it relates to Green's speech and Curry's reaction, the 6'6" forward correctly pointed out Golden State was trailing big at the time. One couldn't expect anybody on the bench to be happy or satisfied.

The Warriors are in the midst of a disappointing season as well. They're 31-30 and eighth in the Western Conference. Missing the playoffs for the second time in three years is a real possibility.

That's bound to weigh on a team and the pair of Curry and Green in particular given what they've achieved in the Bay Area.
