Manchester United vs. Tottenham: Starting XIs and Team News for EPL Fixture

After stuttering out of the starting blocks in his first game as Manchester United manager 12 months ago, Louis van Gaal will be hoping his side can set a much more positive tone in their opening match of the 2015-16 season against Tottenham Hotspur.

The curtain-raiser for the new season sees Mauricio Pochettino’s men travel to Old Trafford, and both managers have announced their respective starting XIs for the encounter.

In this fixture last season, the Red Devils roared into a 3-0 lead before half-time, and Van Gaal would be thrilled to see his side get off to a similarly blistering start in this one. However, Tottenham have had some relatively recent success at Old Trafford, winning on two of their last three visits.
