Rashid Shaheed 'Would Love' to Re-Sign with Seahawks in NFL Free Agency After Super Bowl 60 Win
Veteran wide receiver and returns specialist Rashid Shaheed is "absolutely" open to a reunion with the Seattle Seahawks as he heads into free agency.
"Conversations are definitely going to be heating up towards March," he said to NFL Network's Judy Battista and Bridget Condon. "But you know, I would love to come back. I loved my experience here, I'm loving the Pacific Northwest, and obviously the organization is second to none."
Shaheed pointed to Seattle's Super Bowl title defense as another factor that makes the team appealing.
The 27-year-old won't break the bank in terms of his next contract. For as much as he'd like to stay with the Seahawks, though, he may not be prepared to offer any hometown discounts. His earning power may never be higher than it is now.
Shaheed's 59 receptions in 2025 were a career high, and he had his second-most receiving yards. His work on special teams (14.7 yards per punt return, 29.8 yards per kick return and two total touchdowns) earned him Pro Bowl honors for the second time as well.
Spotrac projects Shaheed's value to be $14.1 million annually, comparing him to the Buffalo Bills' Khalil Shakir and Detroit Lions' Jameson Williams among others.
That would be a good chunk of change for the Seahawks to pay when Shaheed is likely to be their No. 3 receiver heading into 2026.
Another team might be able to offer him more money and — perhaps more importantly — a bigger role in the passing game. By remaining in Seattle, he'd be fighting for targets with All-Pro wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp, who isn't going anywhere for the time being.
If Shaheed leaves sentiment aside, there might be greener pastures outside of the Pacific Northwest.
