Darryn Peterson Entering Draft
Boozer was the No. 3 overall prospect in the class of 2025, according to 247Sports' composite rankings, and he quickly delivered on all the hype surrounding him. The son of NBA icon Carlos Boozer put up 22.5 points, 10.2 boards and 4.1 assists per game for the Blue Devils, shooting an efficient 55.6 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from deep.
Boozer was named the ACC Player of the Year following the outstanding year.
With Boozer leading the way, Duke finished the season 35-3 but fell short in the postseason, losing to UConn in the Elite Eight.
Before he even set foot on Duke's campus, the understanding was that Boozer would be on his way to the NBA Draft after just one season. His phenomenal rookie year confirmed his status as a one-and-done.
Now, the question is where Boozer will land in the draft.
Boozer would be the undisputed No. 1 overall pick in plenty of drafts, but this year's class is especially loaded with players like Kansas' Darryn Peterson, BYU's AJ Dybantsa and North Carolina's Caleb Wilson.
Even with all that talent, Boozer will almost certainly be a top five pick. The latest mock draft from Bleacher Report projects him to go 3rd overall to the Brooklyn Nets
Boozer is hoping to follow in his father's footsteps and become an NBA All-Star, and he appears well on his way.
