Tyreek Hill Updates Instagram Bio to 'Unemployed' in Trending Photo After Reported Dolphins Release

Veteran wide receiver Tyreek Hill didn't waste any time updating his social media accounts after news of his departure from the Miami Dolphins.

ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques reported Monday the Dolphins released Hill and will part ways with edge-rusher Bradley Chubb. The star pass-catcher already updated his Instagram bio to say he's "unemployed":

Hill's release was generally expected, given his massive salary and the knee injury that limited him to four games in 2025.

The Dolphins are making a concerted effort to scale back their payroll as they reset under a new head coach (Jeff Hafley) and general manager (Jon-Eric Sullivan). Hill, even leaving aside his injuries, didn't fit with a franchise that's starting over.

What's next for the 31-year-old is anybody's guess.

His stock was already trending in the wrong direction after he finished 2024 with 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns. His 56.4 yards per contest were his second-fewest ever.

Surely another team will be willing to take a flier on Hill. His "unemployment" might extend for a little while, though.
