
Warriors' Steph Curry '100%' Wants to Do 2027 NBA 3-Point Contest, Eyes Lillard, Klay as Competition
Get ready for some Stephen Curry action at the 2026-27 NBA 3-Point Contest.
"One hundred percent," he said during Sunday's NBA Showtime when asked if he would compete in the contest next season. "I already scheduled it. We're gonna bring some people. Me, Dame [Damian Lillard], I'm gonna try to get Klay [Thompson], Dev [Devin Booker]."
Lillard won this year's contest, marking his third victory and tying him with Larry Bird and Craig Hodges for the most wins in the competition's existence. He did so despite recovering from a torn Achilles.

"I came in confident. I'm fresh," he told reporters. "I don't have to go out there and play 40 minutes, 35 minutes. I think just having this year to be away, my mind and body [are] just fresh. So I came out there excited to do it."
Curry, meanwhile, has two victories in the 3-point contest, leaving him one win shy of the Lillard-Bird-Hodges pantheon.
Curry won't be asked to shoot from the stands in next year's contest, but he'd fare pretty well from that range too, as he showed on Sunday:
One thing is for certain—if Curry competes in the 3-Point Contest, people will watch. The greatest shooter in NBA history is a show unto himself.
