Lane Kiffin is starting off his tenure as head coach of LSU football by helping Louisiana get ready to celebrate Mardi Gras next Tuesday.
Kiffin served as co-grand marshal of the Endymion Parade on Saturday as the build-up to Fat Tuesday began in New Orleans.

Kiffin said after the parade he had noticed LSU fans yelling at him from the crowds along the parade route.
"It was just great, the energy and the passion we felt from the state of Louisiana," Kiffin told Fox 8's Garland Gillen.
Kiffin officially became LSU's next football coach on Dec. 1 after leaving Ole Miss to sign a reported seven-year deal with the Tigers.
The new Tigers coach has so far spent his first offseason in Baton Rouge bringing what 247Sports lists as the top-ranked transfer class in college football. Kiffin now has about five weeks left before the Tigers kick off spring practice on March 24.
