Jeremy Sochan Reportedly Granted Release by Spurs, What Are His Top NBA Landing Spots?
Jeremy Sochan's time with the San Antonio Spurs has come to an end.
Per ESPN's Shams Charania, the team agreed to Sochan's release on Wednesday, and he'll now become a free agent. According to Charania, he is "expected to decide among multiple interested teams."

It's reasonable to think a handful of contenders would be interested in adding Sochan after things didn't work out in San Antonio.
One such option could be the Philadelphia 76ers, who are sitting in sixth place in the East at 30-23. While the Sixers have an established starting group, they could use some depth at the forward positions heading into the postseason, and Sochan is an affordable option on the buyout market.
The Phoenix Suns have had a surprisingly good season after blowing up the Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal big three, and they're sitting in seventh place in the West at 32-22. Phoenix could benefit from another forward, though, especially with injuries piling up. Considering the Suns rank 22nd in cap space, a cheaper option like Sochan isn't a bad idea.
The New York Knicks also reportedly were interested in Sochan at the trade deadline.
The Grizzlies are fringe playoff contenders at this point as they sit in 11th place in the West, but they have an open roster spot and could use a capable defender after trading Jaren Jackson Jr. to the Utah Jazz at the deadline.
Sochan, the former No. 9 overall pick in 2022, played solid minutes for the Spurs over his first three seasons, but has taken on a decreased role this year. He played just 7.5 minutes per game during the month of January and was a healthy scratch from San Antonio's most recent game.
Clearly it was time for the Spurs and Sochan to go their separate ways, and he'll now look to revitalize his career with another team.
