Lionel Messi's Inter Miami Tops Most Valuable MLS Teams List, Full Rankings Revealed by Sportico

Inter Miami CF capped off their championship campaign as the highest-valued team in the MLS.

The Herons earned a 2026 valuation of $1.45 billion in a new report from Sportico, allowing the club to leapfrog Los Angeles FC ($1.4 billion) as the highest-valued club in the MLS.

That number represents a 22 percent jump from Sportico's 2025 valuations list, on which Inter Miami ranked second at $1.19 billion.

LA Galaxy, Atlanta United and New York City FC remained the only other three clubs to earn a $1 billion valuation for a second straight year, although the Seattle Sounders FC ($915 million) and Austin FC ($910 million) took a step closer to the mark.

Inter Miami CF has been steadily climbing Sportico's MLS valuation lists since Messi signed with the club in July 2023.

The club ranked 10th in the MLS with a $585 million valuation prior to that contract, per Spotrac.

Messi now has been signed through the end of the 2028 season in Miami, so the Herons can hope to see this rise in franchise valuation continue going forward.
