Kevin Durant Disagrees with Paul Pierce on Warriors Statue, 'Mural Outside the Men's Bathroom Maybe'
Former Boston Celtics great Paul Pierce believes that Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant deserves a statue in honor of his time with the Golden State Warriors, per comments made on the No Fouls Given podcast.
Durant disagrees, however, saying in now deleted social media posts that he should get a mural outside a men's bathroom in the Chase Center, if anything.

KD signed with the Warriors via free agency in the summer of 2016, linking up with a loaded squad that had just won 73 regular-season games with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green leading the way.
Durant had a great three-year run with the Warriors from 2016-17 through 2018-19, winning three Western Conference titles and two NBA championships. Durant was named Finals MVP to cap both championship runs.
Golden State also went to the Finals in his third and final season, though both Durant and Thompson were injured in that series.
The 2016-17 Warriors also stand as one of the greatest NBA teams of all time, going 67-15 in the regular season and 16-1 in the playoffs.
After the 2018-19 season, Durant left town again to join the Brooklyn Nets via free agency.
Durant may not believe he deserves a statue, but that doesn't change the fact his time in the Bay Area was a tremendous success.
