The 22-time NBA All-Star added he has "always loved these fans here":
Throughout his career, James has seemed to relish his trips to New York City, which helped indirectly fuel speculation he'd sign with the Knicks one day. His performance Sunday isn't among his best ever inside Madison Square Garden, though.
LeBron finished with 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting and added five rebounds, six assists and one steal. Luka DonÄiÄ led all scorers with 30 points and matched his season high in rebounds (15).
James hasn't said one way or the other whether he'll suit up for another season. Retirement is certainly a possibility.
"I'm just trying to take everything in, not take the moments for granted," he told reporters after Los Angeles' loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Jan. 28. "Because it could be (my last season). I obviously haven't made a decision on the future, but it very well could be."
