Alabama Football Top Remaining Recruits and 2026 Recruiting Class Predictions

Kristopher KnoxFeb 3, 2026

While Alabama's 2025-26 season didn't end the way fans might have hoped, the Crimson Tide did take positive steps in Year 2 under Kalen DeBoer.

After posting a disappointing 9-4 record during DeBoer's inaugural campaign, Alabama made an appearance in the SEC Championship Game, earned a spot in the College Football Playoff (CFP), and even won its first CFP game.

DeBoer and Co. will now hope that a strong recruiting class can help them go a step further in 2026.

Heading into national signing day (Wednesday, February 4), Alabama has the second-ranked recruiting class in the country, according to 247Sports' rankings. Here's a look at how the Crimson Tide stack up and what to expect in the coming days.

Top Remaining Recruits

3 of 4
COLLEGE FOOTBALL: NOV 29 Notre Dame at Stanford

Alabama would love to catch USC, but stealing the top spot in the recruiting rankings at this point in the process just isn't likely. The vast majority of top recruits committed to programs long ago.

4-star defensive lineman Dylan Beerymon of Ouachita Parish High School (Monroe, LA) is the only uncommitted recruit among the top 300 players on 247Sports' composite rankings. He's the 197th-ranked recruit on 247Sports' board, and he's already named Nebraska and Kentucky has his finalists.

A few other notable recruits are committed but not signed. That list includes 4-star cornerback Andre Clarke Jr. of Hermitage (Richmond, VA), who recently decommitted from Michigan and committed to Kentucky. It also includes Notre Dame comitt and quarterback Teddy Jarrard of North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA).

Alabama has a couple of unsigned commits of its own: 3-star wideout Maurice Mathis Jr. of Houston County (Warner Robins, GA) and 3-star receiver Aubrey Walker of Moody (Moody, AL).

Recruiting Class Predictions

4 of 4
2025 SEC Championship - Georgia v Alabama

Is it possible that Alabama lands another promising prospect or two in the coming days? Sure, the program only recently landed Mathis, who has also received offers from South Florida, Appalachian State, Samford, and others.

However, Tide fans shouldn't expect DeBoer to snatch the sort of talent that would cause Alabama to jump LSU for the nation's top recruiting class. The reality is there aren't enough unsigned players for that to be a realistic outcome.

With Alabama and most other programs already eyeing the 2027 cycle, the work for this year's class has been done. The prediction here is that the Crimson Tide manage to lock up Mathis and Walker, securing the No. 2 class in the process.
