Fans got to see two potential top NBA draft picks face off for the first time during a Saturday afternoon game between BYU and host Kansas.
Kansas' Darryn Peterson dominated in the first half, while BYU's AJ Dybantsa posted a strong second during the Cougars' 90-82 loss to the Jayhawks.
Peterson finished the game having recorded 20 points on 6-for-8 shooting from the field, highlighted by three steal and a poster dunk in the first half.

He also added a rebound and an assist while committing no turnovers in 20 minutes.
Dybantsa meanwhile finished out BYU's loss with 17 points on 6-for-12 shooting from the field and 2-for-4 shooting from deep.
He added a rebound, an assist and made two turnovers while playing 34 minutes and helping lead the Cougars on a late comeback push.
Fans weighed in on the two star freshman, who are projected as top-three Bleacher Report's latest mock NBA draft.
Peterson is projected as the top pick, while Dybantsa is predicted by Bleacher Report to go at No. 3 behind Duke's Cameron Boozer.
Fans weren't the only people potentially evaluating Peterson and Dybantsa on Saturday. Multiple NBA executives were also in attendance Saturday afternoon at Allen Fieldhouse.
Kansas dominated early, going on a 13-point run early in the game on their way to climbing out to a 20-point first-half lead.
That was in large part thanks to Peterson, who racked up 18 points in the first half before seeing minimal playing time in the second.
It wasn't Dybantsa or Peterson that led Saturday's matchup in scoring, however. That honor went to BYU senior Richie Saunders, who racked up 33 points on 11-for-19 shooting from the field and 6-for-14 shooting from deep.
Saunders was projected as a future No. 54 pick in Bleacher Report's latest mock.
There could be some ranking changes based on No. 13 BYU's loss to No. 14 Kansas. The Jayhawks improved to 16-5 overall and 6-2 in Big 12 play with the win, while the Cougars dropped to 17-4 and 5-3 in conference matchups.
Dybantsa and Saunders will look to help their team bounce back during a Monday away game at Texas Tech, while Peterson and the Cougars can hope to start a win streak with another victory next Wednesday at Oklahoma State.
