Rapper Toosii Rips 'Bozo' Fran Brown, Says He Won't Play for Syracuse CFB

Two months after Toosii announced he was putting his music career on hold to play college football at Syracuse, the rap star no longer plans to do just that.

Toosii posted a video on TikTok calling Syracuse head coach Fran Brown a "bozo" and accused him of lying about what led to his decision to walk away from the program.

The response came after Brown said in a recent interview they were going to give Toosii the opportunity to make the team as a walk-on, but he "wasn't sure if that would happen" because they were adding "more" players to the roster.

Toosii, whose legal name is Nau'Jour Grainger, announced on Dec. 1 that he was committing to play for the Orange after receiving a call from Brown:

Toosii played football in high school at Rolesville in North Carolina and graduated in 2018. He entered the music industry during that time, self-releasing three mixtapes in 2017 and later signing a deal with South Coast Music Group in 2019.

In August, Toosii announced he was going back to school and intended to play college football. He later revealed that his first visit was with Maryland for its season-opener against Florida Atlantic.

Per 247Sports, Toosii had official offers from Syracuse and Sacramento State. The Orange roster currently has 16 wide receivers listed on the depth chart, including seven incoming freshman even without Toosii.

It's unclear if the fracture with Syracuse means that Toosii no longer plans to play college football anywhere in 2026. The signing period does run through Feb. 4, so in theory he has a few days to find a new school if he wants to give it a shot.
