From Nico Harrison to Max Christie, Where Is Everybody Now from Luka Doncic-Anthony Davis Trade?
While the 2026 trade deadline draws closer, Sunday marks the one-year anniversary of one of the most surprising blockbuster swaps in NBA history.
In Feb. 2025, the Dallas Mavericks shockingly traded Luka Dončić to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a 2029 first-round draft pick. The Lakers also received Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris in the deal.
The Utah Jazz were involved in the trade as well, coming away with Jalen Hood-Schifino and a pair of 2025 second-round picks.

ESPN's Dave McMenamin reported that negotiations were initiated by Dallas and general manager Nico Harrison, as the Mavericks chose to part ways with the superstar that led them to the NBA Finals just one season earlier.
Dallas ended up winning the draft lottery and selecting standout rookie Cooper Flagg, although Harrison won't be around to monitor his budding career. He was fired by the Mavericks on Nov. 11 after they opened the regular season with a 3-8 record.
As for Dončić, he's continued to operate as one of the NBA's top offensive players in Los Angeles. Immediately after the trade, he averaged 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 43.8 percent from the field and 37.9 percent from three-point territory.
This season, he's recording a league-leading 33.7 points per game on 47.7/34.7/78.0 shooting splits. Dončić has also dished out 8.8 assists and grabbed 7.8 rebounds on a nightly basis.
Meanwhile, Davis has been an impressive two-way force for Dallas when healthy. He's averaged 20.2 points, 10.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game while shooting 49.2 percent from the field as a member of the Mavericks.
Availability has remained an issue for Davis, though. He played in just nine games with the Mavericks during the 2024-25 season while dealing with a left adductor strain as well as an eye injury. This year, he's missed time due to a left calf strain and is currently sidelined after undergoing hand surgery.
Kleber didn't suit up for the Lakers during the 2024-25 season, as he recovered from a foot procedure. He's missed time due to an oblique strain this year and is still looking to carve out a role in head coach JJ Redick's rotation.
Kleber has averaged 2.0 points and 1.8 rebounds in 11.4 minutes per game during his 2025-26 campaign, shooting 35.7 percent on field goals.
Morris appeared in eight games with the Lakers after the trade, but wasn't brought back during the 2025 offseason as a free agent.
Christie has been a bright spot for the Mavericks in the wake of the swap, stepping into a larger role and thriving. After connecting on 36.4 percent of his triples with Dallas last season, he's become one of the NBA's top shooters from the corners.
In the first 43 games of this year, Christie has averaged 13.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 47.6 percent from the field and 44.5 percent from behind the arc.
The Jazz waived Hood-Schifino after the trade before selecting guard Jamir Watkins and wing John Tonje with the two picks they received in the swap. Utah dealt Watkins to the Washington Wizards on draft night, while Tonje remains with the organization on a two-way contract.
Given the continued elite offensive play of Dončić, who is also still just 26 years old, it's safe to say that the trade was a massive success for the Lakers.
