Which MLB Team Has Added the Most Talent This Offseason? Ranking All 30 Teams

Joel ReuterJan 29, 2026

It has been a busy offseason of roster shuffling, and while there are still a few notable players still available in free agency, the fast-approaching start of spring training means it's time to take a step back and start assessing each club's offseason talent haul.

Ahead, we've used a point system to rank all 30 teams based on the overall collection of talent they have added this offseason, including players who were re-signed after reaching free agency.

Using WAR projections from the Depth Charts model at FanGraphs and prospect profiles from MLB.com, points were assigned as follows:

Step 1: The combined WAR total of every team's offseason additions was multiplied by five to provide the foundation value for each team. (1.0 WAR=5 points)

Step 2: Bonus points were awarded for each player projected for 1-1.9 WAR (+1 point), 2-2.9 WAR (+2 points) and 3+ WAR (+5 points) to better reflect the value of impact talent.

Step 3: Any player projected for a spot on the Opening Day roster but not projected for a positive WAR value was awarded 0.5 points.

Step 4: Prospect additions were valued based on their future value (20-80 scale) at MLB.com, with 45 FV (+1 point), 50 FV (+2 points) and 55 FV (+3 points) prospects all taken into consideration.

The end result was a range that stretched from 6.5 points in the No. 30 spot all the way up to 100.5 points in the No. 1 spot. Where did your favorite team fall in the rankings?

30. Cleveland Guardians

1 of 30
Miami Marlins v Texas Rangers
Shawn Armstrong

Total Talent Score: 6.5

Impact Players: None

The Rest: C Austin Hedges (0.7), RP Shawn Armstrong (0.4), RP Connor Brogdon (0.0), RP Colin Holderman (0.0), RP Peyton Pallette (-0.1)

Notable Prospects: None

The Jose Ramirez extension is a feather in the cap of the Cleveland front office, but they have once again been virtually non-existent players in the offseason market as far as outside additions are concerned. A reunion with backup catcher Austin Hedges and a one-year, $4 million deal for Shawn Armstrong have been the "marquee" moves to this point, as they will once again rely on in-house talent to shoulder the load.

29. Cincinnati Reds

2 of 30
MLB: SEP 01 Athletics at Cardinals
JJ Bleday

Total Talent Score: 12.0

Impact Players: None

The Rest: RP Emilio Pagán (0.8), OF JJ Bleday (0.6), OF Dane Myers (0.3), RP Brock Burke (0.3), RP Pierce Johnson (0.2), RP Caleb Ferguson (0.2)

Notable Prospects: None

JJ Bleday is just a year removed from a 20-homer, 2.1-WAR season for the Athletics in 2024, so he offers significant upside on the one-year, $1.4 million deal he signed after being non-tendered, but there is also boom-or-bust risk. Re-upping with closer Emilio Pagán and adding Brock Burke in a three-team trade that sent Gavin Lux to Tampa Bay will help stabilize the bullpen.

28. Miami Marlins

3 of 30
Milwaukee Brewers v Chicago Cubs
Owen Caissie

Total Talent Score: 16.5

Impact Players: RP Pete Fairbanks (1.3)

The Rest: IF/OF Christopher Morel (0.3), OF Esteury Ruiz (0.3)

Notable Prospects: OF Owen Caissie (55 FV), SS Cristian Hernández (45 FV), OF Dillon Lewis (45 FV), OF Brendan Jones (45 FV)

Trading away starting pitchers Edward Cabrera and Ryan Weathers netted the Marlins an impressive haul of prospect talent, headlined by Owen Caissie, who is the front-runner to break camp as the starting right fielder. Buying low on Christopher Morel could pay dividends, while Pete Fairbanks gives the bullpen a proven closer.

27. Kansas City Royals

4 of 30
MLB: AUG 28 Diamondbacks at Brewers
Isaac Collins

Total Talent Score: 17.5

Impact Players: OF Isaac Collins (1.1), RP Matt Strahm (1.0)

The Rest: OF Lane Thomas (0.4), RP Nick Mears (0.3), RP Alex Lange (0.1), OF Kameron Misner (0.1), RP Mason Black (0.1)

Notable Prospects: None

The Royals did a nice job capitalizing on teams that were looking to shed salary, acquiring Isaac Collins and Nick Mears from the Brewers and Matt Strahm from the Phillies in exchange for relievers Angel Zerpa and Jonathan Bowlan. A platoon of Collins and bounce-back candidate Lane Thomas in left field has a chance to provide quality value at a position that was a major hole in 2025.

26. Athletics

5 of 30
Atlanta Braves v. New York Mets
Jeff McNeil

Total Talent Score: 18.0

Impact Players: 2B Jeff McNeil (2.6)

The Rest: RP Mark Leiter Jr. (0.6)

Notable Prospects: None

A veteran to plug a glaring hole at second base (Jeff McNeil) and a high-leverage reliever to help offset last summer's Mason Miller trade (Mark Leiter Jr.) were productive pickups for the Athletics, but where is the upgrade to their starting rotation? An improved starting staff will be the key to taking the next step toward contention.

25. St. Louis Cardinals

6 of 30
Dustin May's Red Sox debut ends in loss to Royals, ending club's win streak at seven games
Dustin May

Total Talent Score: 21.5

Impact Players: SP Dustin May (1.6)

The Rest: SP Hunter Dobbins (0.6), SP Richard Fitts (0.5), C Yohel Pozo (0.4), RP Ryne Stanek (0.2), RP Justin Bruihl (0.0), RP Matt Pushard (0.0)

Notable Prospects: LHP Brandon Clarke (50 FV), RHP Yhoiker Fajardo (45 FV)

The focus of the offseason for the Cardinals has been offloading high-priced veterans Sonny Gray, Willson Contreras and Nolan Arenado, and now the rebuild is officially underway. Left-hander Brandon Clarke had a 4.03 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 60 strikeouts in 38 innings in his pro debut between Single-A and High-A, and he could be a consensus Top 100 prospect by the end of 2026.

24. Colorado Rockies

7 of 30
Tampa Bay Rays v Chicago Cubs
Willi Castro

Total Talent Score: 22.5

Impact Players: IF Willi Castro (1.2), SP Michael Lorenzen (1.1)

The Rest: OF Jake McCarthy (0.9), IF Edouard Julien (0.5), 1B Troy Johnston (0.3), RP Brennan Bernardino (0.1), RP Keegan Thompson (0.0), RP RJ Petit (0.0)

Notable Prospects: None

Convincing a proven veteran starting pitcher to sign is a major win for the Rockies, and Michael Lorenzen will slot in alongside Kyle Freeland and up-and-comer Chase Dollander at the top of the Rockies rotation. Versatile Willi Castro is not far removed from being an All-Star in 2024, but they still need to find a viable answer at first base.

23. Washington Nationals

8 of 30
Seattle Mariners Photo Day
Harry Ford

Total Talent Score: 22.5

Impact Players: SP Foster Griffin (1.9)

The Rest: OF Joey Wiemer (0.1), RP Gus Varland (0.0), RP Griff McGarry (0.0), RP Paxton Schultz (0.0)

Notable Prospects: C Harry Ford (55 FV), SS Gavin Fien (50 FV), RHP Luis Perales (50 FV), RHP Alejandro Rosario (45 FV), SS Devin Fitz-Gerald (45 FV), OF Yeremy Cabrera (45 FV)

The Nationals got an excellent return for lefty reliever José A. Ferrer when they landed consensus Top 100 prospect Harry Ford from the Mariners, then acquired a loaded package of five prospects from the Rangers in exchange for MacKenzie Gore. Left-hander Foster Griffin is back from a successful three-year run in the Japanese League and poised to replace Gore in the rotation.

22. Minnesota Twins

9 of 30
Washington Nationals v Atlanta Braves
Josh Bell

Total Talent Score: 23.5

Impact Players: C Victor Caratini (1.2), 1B Josh Bell (1.1)

The Rest: RP Taylor Rogers (0.4), RP Eric Orze (0.3), 1B Eric Wagaman (0.2), C Alex Jackson (0.1)

Notable Prospects: None

The Twins stopped short of a full-scale rebuild after last summer's fire sale, holding onto Byron Buxton, Joe Ryan and Pablo López after they looked like potential trade chips at the start of the offseason. Their additions have been more damage control than needle moving, with Josh Bell and Victor Caratini filling a hole at the first base/designated hitter spot and Taylor Rogers providing a veteran presence to a gutted bullpen.

21. Seattle Mariners

10 of 30
Championship Series - Toronto Blue Jays v Seattle Mariners - Game 4
Josh Naylor

Total Talent Score: 25.0

Impact Players: 1B Josh Naylor (2.8)

The Rest: RP José A. Ferrer (0.8), OF Rob Refsnyder (0.6), C Andrew Knizner (0.3), RP Cooper Criswell (0.1)

Notable Prospects: None

The Mariners moved quickly to bring back trade deadline rental Josh Naylor, signing him to a five-year, $92.5 million deal on Nov. 17, but their offseason has been extremely quiet since that initial splash. They might have overpaid a bit by giving up Harry Ford to acquire José A. Ferrer and his club control through 2029, though the young catcher was insurmountably blocked by Cal Raleigh.

20. Houston Astros

11 of 30
Houston Astros Introduce Tatsuya Imai
Tatsuya Imai

Total Talent Score: 26.0

Impact Players: SP Tatsuya Imai (2.0), SP Mike Burrows (1.6)

The Rest: SP Ryan Weiss (0.7), SS Nick Allen (0.2), RP Nate Pearson (0.0), RP Roddery Muñoz (-0.1)

Notable Prospects: None

The Astros have rebuilt their starting rotation with a trio of upside plays, banking on Japanese League star Tatsuya Imai, unproven right-hander Mike Burrows and KBO returnee Ryan Weiss to shore up the staff behind Hunter Brown and Cristian Javier. Will that be enough to bolster a roster that just missed the playoffs for the first time since 2016?

19. Milwaukee Brewers

12 of 30
Milwaukee Brewers v Pittsburgh Pirates
Brandon Woodruff

Total Talent Score: 26.5

Impact Players: SP Brandon Woodruff (2.9)

The Rest: C Reese McGuire (0.7), RP Angel Zerpa (0.3)

Notable Prospects: IF/OF Jett Williams (55 FV), RHP Brandon Sproat (50 FV)

An unexpected wrench was thrown into the Brewers offseason plans when Brandon Woodruff made the surprising decision to accept his one-year, $22.025 million qualifying offer. That led to them offloading Freddy Peralta, Isaac Collins and Nick Mears to shed salary. The Jett Williams and Brandon Sproat return somewhat mirrors the Joey Ortiz and DL Hall package they acquired for Corbin Burnes ahead of his final year of club control, and Sproat could push for a rotation spot this spring.

18. San Diego Padres

13 of 30
Boston Red Sox v San Diego Padres
Michael King

Total Talent Score: 27.0

Impact Players: SP Michael King (3.1)

The Rest: IF/OF Sung-Mun Song (0.9), RP Kyle Hart (0.3), RP Ty Adcock (0.0), IF José Miranda (-0.1)

Notable Prospects: None

Aside from re-signing Michael King on a three-year, $75 million deal, it's been an extremely quiet offseason for the Padres, and there are still significant holes on the roster that need to be filled. Expect at least one more starting pitcher and a first baseman/designated hitter bat to be added to the mix before Opening Day, which could move them up in these rankings a bit.

17. San Francisco Giants

14 of 30
Division Series - Los Angeles Dodgers v Philadelphia Phillies - Game One
Harrison Bader

Total Talent Score: 29.5

Impact Players: OF Harrison Bader (2.0), SP Tyler Mahle (1.3), SP Adrian Houser (1.2)

The Rest: C Daniel Susac (0.3), RP Sam Hentges (0.1), RP Jason Foley (0.1), RP Reiver Sanmartin (0.0)

Notable Prospects: None

The Giants gave their offseason haul a nice boost when they signed Harrison Bader to a two-year, $20.5 million deal earlier this week, filling a major hole in their outfield alongside Heliot Ramos and Jung Hoo Lee. It remains to be seen whether replacing Justin Verlander with Tyler Mahle and Adrian Houser will mean better or worse results for the rotation, while the bullpen could still use a couple more arms as well.

16. Detroit Tigers

15 of 30
MLB: SEP 24 Royals at Angels
Kenley Jansen

Total Talent Score: 30.0

Impact Players: 2B Gleyber Torres (3.1), SP Drew Anderson (1.1)

The Rest: RP Kenley Jansen (0.3), RP Kyle Finnegan (0.3)

Notable Prospects: None

The biggest move of the Tigers offseason came back in November when Gleyber Torres accepted his one-year, $22.025 million qualifying offer to return as the team's starting second baseman. Re-signing Kyle Finnegan and adding veteran Kenley Jansen fortifies the back of their bullpen, and it will be interesting to see how A.J. Hinch utilizes Drew Anderson after he posted a 2.25 ERA with 245 strikeouts in 171.2 innings for the KBO's SSG Landers in 2025.

15. Pittsburgh Pirates

16 of 30
Tampa Bay Rays v Baltimore Orioles
Brandon Lowe

Total Talent Score: 31.5

Impact Players: 2B Brandon Lowe (1.8), 1B Ryan O'Hearn (1.2), OF Jake Mangum (1.2)

The Rest: RP Gregory Soto (0.6), RP Mason Montgomery (0.3)

Notable Prospects: OF Jhostynxon García (55 FV)

The Pirates front office has made a clear effort to improve what was baseball's worst offense in 2025, averaging just 3.6 runs per game. Brandon Lowe and Ryan O'Hearn were both All-Stars last season, while some combination of Jake Mangum and Jhostynxon García should shore up the outfield alongside Oneil Cruz and Bryan Reynolds. Keep an eye on Mason Montgomery this spring, as he worked as a starter in Tampa Bay's minor league system before moving to the bullpen in the big leagues.

14. Atlanta Braves

17 of 30
Washington Nationals v Atlanta Braves
Ha-Seong Kim

Total Talent Score: 33.0

Impact Players: SS Ha-Seong Kim (1.6), OF Mike Yastrzemski (1.5)

The Rest: RP Robert Suárez (0.9), RP Raisel Iglesias (0.8), IF/OF Mauricio Dubón (0.6), RP Tyler Kinley (0.4), SS Jorge Mateo (0.2), RP Ian Hamilton (0.1), RP Joel Payamps (0.1)

Notable Prospects: None

The Braves will be without Ha-Seong Kim to start the season after he suffered a torn tendon in his right middle finger, which led to the addition of Jorge Mateo to help provide some depth alongside fellow newcomer Mauricio Dubón and Nacho Alvarez Jr. at shortstop. Re-signing Raisel Iglesias and adding Robert Suárez will shorten a lot of games in 2026.

13. Arizona Diamondbacks

18 of 30
Miami Marlins v Texas Rangers
Merrill Kelly

Total Talent Score: 37.0

Impact Players: SP Merrill Kelly (2.3), 3B Nolan Arenado (2.0), SP Michael Soroka (1.4)

The Rest: C James McCann (0.3), RP Jonathan Loáisiga (0.2), IF Ildemaro Vargas (0.1), RP Taylor Clarke (0.0)

Notable Prospects: None

A reunion with Merrill Kelly and a roll of the dice on Michael Soroka shored up the D-backs rotation, but little has been done to address their glaring lack of late-inning options in the bullpen. Offensively, it will be interesting to see what a change of scenery does for Nolan Arenado, as he looks to put the finishing touches on his Hall of Fame case in the desert.

12. Chicago White Sox

19 of 30
Chicago White Sox Introduce Munetaka Murakami
Munetaka Murakami

Total Talent Score: 39.0

Impact Players: 1B Munetaka Murakami (2.3), SP Anthony Kay (1.5), SP Sean Newcomb (1.1)

The Rest: IF/OF Luisangel Acuña (0.9), RP Seranthony Domínguez (0.7), OF Everson Pereira (0.4), IF/OF Tanner Murray (0.1), RP Jedixson Paez (0.0), RP Alexander Alberto (-0.2)

Notable Prospects: None

It's been a productive offseason for the rebuilding White Sox, as they ended up being the surprise winners of the Munetaka Murakami sweepstakes after concerns about his contact rate tanked his market. He still has 30-homer upside, and should benefit from the lack of scrutiny he'll face playing on a presumptive non-contender. Anthony Kay could be their next Erick Fedde, while Sean Newcomb has intriguing upside as a starter and a high floor as a reliever.

11. Philadelphia Phillies

20 of 30
Atlanta Braves v Philadelphia Phillies
Kyle Schwarber

Total Talent Score: 44.0

Impact Players: DH Kyle Schwarber (3.0), C J.T. Realmuto (2.0), OF Adolis García (1.5)

The Rest: RP Brad Keller (0.2), RP Jonathan Bowlan (0.1), RP Zach Pop (0.0), RP Zach McCambley (0.0), RP Tim Mayza (0.0), RP Chase Shugart (0.0)

Notable Prospects: None

The Phillies top priorities heading into the offseason were to retain Kyle Schwarber and J.T. Realmuto, and they did that, though they've done little else to bolster the roster around them. Adolis García should be an upgrade over Max Kepler, while Brad Keller is a nice addition to the bullpen, but they could still use more starting pitching depth following the loss of Ranger Suárez and with Zack Wheeler expected to start the year on the injured list.

10. Los Angeles Dodgers

21 of 30
dodgers introductory press conference kyle tucker
Kyle Tucker

Total Talent Score: 45.0

Impact Players: OF Kyle Tucker (4.9), RP Edwin Díaz (1.7)

The Rest: IF Miguel Rojas (0.7), IF Andy Ibáñez (0.5)

Notable Prospects: None

It speaks to the level of impact Kyle Tucker and Edwin Díaz are expected to make on an already stacked roster that the Dodgers cracked the top 10 of this list with only four notable offseason moves. It wasn't the sexiest signing of the winter, but don't sleep on Andy Ibáñez as a great addition to the bench, as he ranked second in the majors with 22 pinch hits over the last two seasons.

9. Los Angeles Angels

22 of 30
Toronto Blue Jays v Baltimore Orioles
Grayson Rodriguez

Total Talent Score: 46.5

Impact Players: SP Grayson Rodriguez (2.1), OF Josh Lowe (1.3), 3B Yoán Moncada (1.3)

The Rest: IF Vaughn Grissom (0.9), SP Alek Manoah (0.8), RP Drew Pomeranz (0.7), RP Kirby Yates (0.4), RP Jordan Romano (0.3), OF Wade Meckler (0.2), RP Osvaldo Bido (0.2), RP Cody Laweryson (0.1), IF Nick Madrigal (0.1), RP Tayler Saucedo (0.0)

Notable Prospects: None

The Angels have had a busy offseason, though it's up for debate whether anything they've done has really moved the needle to make them a legitimate contender. Aside from flipping Taylor Ward for Grayson Rodriguez, this reads as a quantity over quality collection of newcomers, though adding so many new arms to a bullpen that ranked 28th in the majors with a 4.86 ERA couldn't hurt.

8. Texas Rangers

23 of 30
New York Mets v Washington Nationals
MacKenzie Gore

Total Talent Score: 46.5

Impact Players: SP MacKenzie Gore (2.9), OF Brandon Nimmo (2.4), C Danny Jansen (1.2)

The Rest: RP Chris Martin (0.8), RP Jakob Junis (0.4), RP Tyler Alexander (0.2), RP Zak Kent (0.1), RP Josh Sborz (0.1), RP Alexis Díaz (0.0), RP Carter Baumler (0.0)

Notable Prospects: None

The Rangers shot up these rankings when they acquired MacKenzie Gore in a blockbuster deal that sent five well-regarded prospects to the Nationals, giving them a controllable frontline starter to join Jacob deGrom and Nathan Eovaldi at the top of the rotation. It will be interesting to monitor who ends up winning the Brandon Nimmo-for-Marcus Semien swap, as it's rare to see a one-for-one trade of established veterans.

7. New York Yankees

24 of 30
Athletics v New York Yankees
Cody Bellinger

Total Talent Score: 49.0

Impact Players: OF Cody Bellinger (3.3), OF Trent Grisham (2.8), SP Ryan Weathers (1.2)

The Rest: IF/OF Amed Rosario (0.5), RP Paul Blackburn (0.2), RP Ryan Yarbrough (0.1), IF Paul DeJong (0.1), RP Cade Winquest (-0.1)

Notable Prospects: None

Considering Cody Bellinger, Trent Grisham, Amed Rosario, Paul Blackburn and Ryan Yarbrough were all re-signings, there won't be many new faces in spring training later this month for the Yankees. The big one is Ryan Weathers, who was a necessary addition to a rotation that will be without Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodón and Clarke Schmidt to start the year, and they paid a steep prospect price for his three remaining years of control.

6. Tampa Bay Rays

25 of 30
Houston Astros v Cleveland Guardians
Jacob Melton

Total Talent Score: 51.5

Impact Players: SP Steven Matz (2.1), 2B Gavin Lux (1.7), OF Cedric Mullins (1.4),

The Rest: OF Jake Fraley (0.7), OF Justyn Henry-Malloy (0.6), RP Yoendrys Gómez (0.3), IF/OF Ryan Vilade (0.3), IF Brett Wisely (0.2), SP Ken Waldichuk (0.1), RP Steven Wilson (-0.1)

Notable Prospects: OF Jacob Melton (50 FV), RHP Anderson Brito (50 FV), RHP Michael Forret (50 FV), OF Slater de Brun (50 FV), C Caden Bodine (50 FV), OF Austin Overn (45 FV)

The Rays are knocking on the door for a top-five spot largely on the strength of the prospect talent they have added this winter by trading Shane Baz to the Orioles and a package of Brandon Lowe, Jake Mangum and Mason Montgomery to the Pirates. They are the perfect landing spot for Steven Matz as he tries to return to a starting role, while Cedric Mullins and Jake Fraley both represent solid buy-low additions to a diminished outfield. As usual, a balanced mix of buying and selling.

5. Toronto Blue Jays

26 of 30
Milwaukee Brewers v San Diego Padres
Dylan Cease

Total Talent Score: 54.5

Impact Players: SP Dylan Cease (3.8), 3B Kazuma Okamoto (2.9), SP Cody Ponce (2.0)

The Rest: RP Tyler Rogers (0.3), RP Chase Lee (0.0)

Notable Prospects: None

Despite losing Bo Bichette, there is a case to be made that the Blue Jays have improved. Dylan Cease and Cody Ponce were added to an already strong rotation, Kazuma Okamoto provides significant power upside at the hot corner and an in-house middle infield of Ernie Clement and Andrés Giménez is more than capable of stepping up in Bichette's absence. The seven-year, $210 million deal they gave Cease shows the front office is all-in on this current window of contention.

4. Chicago Cubs

27 of 30
Chicago Cubs Introduce Alex Bregman
Alex Bregman

Total Talent Score: 58.5

Impact Players: 3B Alex Bregman (3.7), SP Edward Cabrera (1.8), SP Shota Imanaga (1.8), RP Hunter Harvey (1.0)

The Rest: 1B Tyler Austin (0.6), RP Caleb Thielbar (0.5), RP Phil Maton (0.3), RP Hoby Milner (0.2), OF Chas McCormick (0.1), RP Jacob Webb (0.0)

Notable Prospects: None

Some would argue a true frontline starter is the missing piece of the Cubs offseason, but a full season of Cade Horton and a healthy Justin Steele are more than capable of filling that void. The addition of Alex Bregman goes a long way in replacing Kyle Tucker's lost production, while that roster shuffle also opens the door for Moisés Ballesteros to see everyday playing time. Can they strike gold again with the "cast a wide net" approach to building the bullpen?

3. Boston Red Sox

28 of 30
St. Louis Cardinals v. San Francisco Giants
Sonny Gray

Total Talent Score: 66.5

Impact Players: SP Sonny Gray (3.7), SP Ranger Suárez (3.4), 1B Willson Contreras (2.2), SP Johan Oviedo (1.1)

The Rest: RP Ryan Watson (0.0)

Notable Prospects: LHP Jake Bennett (45 FV)

The Red Sox pillaged the roster of the rebuilding Cardinals, adding Sonny Gray and Willson Contreras in separate trades to fill clear holes in the starting rotation and at first base. With Ranger Suárez and Johan Oviedo also added to the starting rotation mix, they look like a better all-around staff behind ace Garrett Crochet, even with Lucas Giolito gone. They could still use another infield bat and late-inning bullpen arm, but they have avoided getting lapped in a stacked AL East race.

2. Baltimore Orioles

29 of 30
New York Mets v Pittsburgh Pirates
Pete Alonso

Total Talent Score: 68.5

Impact Players: 1B Pete Alonso (3.5), OF Taylor Ward (2.7), SP Shane Baz (1.9), SP Zach Eflin (1.5), RP Ryan Helsley (1.1)

The Rest: RP Andrew Kittredge (0.6), OF Leody Taveras (0.4)

Notable Prospects: None

The Orioles finished 11th in the majors with 191 home runs last season, and that number should climb after Pete Alonso (38 HR) and Taylor Ward (36 HR) were added to the lineup. They paid a King's ransom to acquire Shane Baz and his three remaining years of club control, while also re-signing Zach Eflin, but they will be counting on healthy seasons from Trevor Rogers and Kyle Bradish to fill the top-of-the-rotation roles.

1. New York Mets

30 of 30
New York Mets Introduce Bo Bichette
Bo Bichette

Total Talent Score: 100.5

Impact Players: 3B Bo Bichette (4.3), 2B Marcus Semien (3.1), SP Freddy Peralta (2.6), 1B Jorge Polanco (2.3), OF Luis Robert Jr. (2.3), RP Devin Williams (1.3)

The Rest: RP Luke Weaver (0.4), RP Luis García (0.2), RP Tobias Myers (0.2)

Notable Prospects: None

The gap between the Mets and the rest of baseball in terms of overall talent haul this winter is staggering, now they need to figure out how all the pieces fit together. Bo Bichette (SS to 3B) and Jorge Polanco (2B to 1B) will both be learning new positions, while Marcus Semien (97 OPS+) and Luis Robert Jr. (85 OPS+) will both look to rebound from disappointing seasons at the plate. The X-factor here is Freddy Peralta living up to the role of staff ace, but props to the front office for getting to work after a disappointing September collapse.
