Fernando Mendoza Attempts to Break Records with Jimmy Fallon in 'Tonight Show' Video
Fresh off a historic 2025 season that culminated with leading Indiana to its first national title, Fernando Mendoza got to partake in a literal record-breaking game with Jimmy Fallon.
Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Mendoza was asked to break records by throwing footballs at various vinyls to see how many he could hit in 30 seconds.
The official counter on the show credited him with eight, but there might have been some shenanigans going on because it didn't appear all of them broke. Hopefully we can get someone with a sharp eye and a lot of time on their hands to do some detective work.
Fallon didn't do a great job of helping out Mendoza because his tosses weren't giving the records a lot of air, though that could be a good teaching moment for the 2025 Heisman winner because the targets he will see in the NFL might not be as open as they were in college.
Thursday's appearance on Fallon was the latest step in a frantic few days for Mendoza. He began the week by helping Indiana defeat Miami 27-21 in the College Football Playoff Championship Game.
Mendoza officially announced on Friday that he is declaring for the 2026 NFL draft. The decision has been widely expected since he is projected to be the No. 1 overall pick by the Las Vegas Raiders.
