Big 12 Announces 2026 CFB Schedule for Deion Sanders' Colorado, All Teams, New Title Game Date Set

The Big 12 didn't wait long to start turning its attention to the 2026 college football season.

Just two days after last season ended with Indiana lifting the College Football Playoff national championship trophy, the Big 12 announced its schedule for the 2026 campaign. Every team, from reigning champion Texas Tech to Deion Sanders' Colorado, will play nine conference games next season.

What's more, the conference title game will be on Friday, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. ET, which the conference said is "launching a new Friday-Saturday rotation that enhances national exposure."

Here is a look at the full slate:

The Big 12 will have an international feel in 2026, as TCU will face North Carolina in Dublin, Ireland, on Aug. 29 before Arizona State and Kansas will square off at Wembley Stadium in London on Sept. 19.

There are also a number of notable nonconference games that will test the league.

BYU faces Notre Dame, Kansas plays rival Missouri, Oklahoma State goes against Oregon, Utah plays Arkansas, Arizona State squares off with Texas A&M and Baylor faces Auburn. How the Big 12 does in some of those games could go a long way toward the overall perception of the league come time to select the CFP bracket.

Notably, there will not be a game between Texas Tech and BYU after they faced each other in last season's Big 12 title game unless they once again both reach that stage.

Texas Tech also doesn't play against a potential contender in Utah and has a straightforward nonconference schedule with matchups against Abilene Christian, Oregon State and Sam Houston State.

With no game against either the Cougars or the Utes and a nonconference slate full of cupcakes, the Red Raiders could once again cruise to the CFP.

However, the schedule may not fully prepare them for the teams they will face in the CFP, which could be a problem after they failed to score a single point in a 23-0 loss to Oregon in their playoff game this past season.
