Chicago had the worst regular-season record of the four divisional round loses, so it took the 25th overall pick.
All four divisional round losers have much different needs than the other.
Chicago strengthened its squad before Ben Johnson's first season as head coach. The Bears will still make improvements across the roster, but they are not in dire straits as they were in previous seasons. Defense or the offensive line seems to be the way the Bears should go in April since they hit on a handful of offensive skill position players in the 2025 draft.
The Bills could use a No. 1 wide receiver to partner with Josh Allen, James Cook, Khalil Shakir and Dalton Kincaid in one of the AFC's better offenses. The presence of a top-tier pass-catcher would make that unit more formidable in the franchise's first season inside their new stadium.
San Francisco's biggest need is on the interior on both sides of the ball. There's a chance the 49ers could add some insurance for Christian McCaffrey, or another wide receiver in case Brandon Aiyuk leaves.
Houston has the potential to add to its already impressive defense. The Texans drafted well on offense in the last few years with the additions of Woody Marks, Jayden Higgins and others.
Which prospects those teams will target will come more into view as the draft process goes on, but each of the three divisional-round losers could use an extra boost from the right first-round selection.
