Miami Unveils Uniform Combination for CFP Title Game Matchup vs. Indiana in Photo
No. 10 Miami is keeping its tradition alive for the College Football Playoff final against No. 1 Indiana on Monday night.
The Hurricanes announced on Thursday that they will be rocking their all-white uniforms once again for the national championship game. The team wore the same threads for its wins over Ohio State and Ole Miss on its way to the CFP final.
The Hurricanes managed to get past the defending national champion Buckeyes with a 24-14 win in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic. They followed that up with a 31-27 win over the Rebels in the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, outlasting a fourth-quarter shootout that included four lead changes.
Things won't get easier for Miami in the national title game, as it will be facing an undefeated Indiana team that scored a combined 94 points in its two CFP wins. 2025 Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza has been close to perfect during the playoff with eight touchdowns and no interceptions.
Miami will have the benefit of playing in its home of Hard Rock Stadium for the CFP final. Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal said earlier this week that the top priority is keeping the team focused amid the growing buzz on campus and in the city.
"There aren't really distractions," Cristobal said Monday during a CFP media availability, per ESPN's Andrea Adelson. "You either create them, or you don't, and so we get out ahead of that. That's one of the stronger points of emphasis as you begin the week. Distractions have never been a part of the journey. You can't let them become a part of it now."
