Fredette played four seasons at BYU from 2007 to '11. After coming off the bench as a freshman, he established himself as a high-level starter during his sophomore campaign.
The New York native led the Mountain West in scoring average during his junior year with 22.1 points per game, then followed that up by leading all Division I men's players in scoring average as a senior (28.9 points per game).
Fredette is the program's all-time leader in three-pointers made (294), ranks second in total points (2,599) and tied for fifth in games played (139). He was the consensus National Player of the Year winner in 2010-11.
BYU made the NCAA tournament in each of Fredette's four seasons, including earning a No. 3 seed in 2010-11. That team advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1971.
Fredette was drafted No. 10 overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2011. He had a six-year NBA career and represented the United States as part of the 3x3 men's team at the 2024 Olympics.
