Curt Cignetti Jokes About Celebration Plans on Video After Indiana Advances to CFP Bracket Final

Curt Cignetti wasn't ready to game plan for Indiana's upcoming title game against Miami immediately after Friday night's Peach Bowl win over Oregon.

"I'm really not thinking about the next game. I'm thinking about cracking open a beer," Cignetti told ESPN after Indiana clinched a trip to the national championship game with a 56-22 victory over Oregon.

Indiana advanced to a title game after routing its two playoff opponents, Alabama and Oregon, by a combined 94-25.

The Ducks struggled with turnovers in Saturday's loss, including a pick-six on the opening play and two lost fumbles.

Despite that dominant showing from the Hoosiers' defense, Cignetti indicated after the win that he would have liked to see a tighter last two quarters of the Peach Bowl.

"We got a couple guys nicked, and we got a little sloppy, at times, in the second half," Cignetti said about the Hoosiers' CFP semifinal performance against Oregon. "We're thin in some spots, to be quite honest with you, right now.

"But we created turnovers, which led to points. Hit the quarterback a lot. And great team win."

Cignetti said his team would be off Sunday before the Hoosiers return to begin preparing for the national championship game against Miami.

"Have a great week of preparation and put it on the field," Cignetti said.

The Hoosiers and Hurricanes are set to play for a national title in Miami on Monday, Jan. 19. Kickoff at Hard Rock Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
